ULTIMO ble bestilt av Wardle Academy Youth Band i anledning deres deltakelse i European Brass Band Championships i 2026 (Linz, Østerrike). Stykket tar utgangspunkt i en melodi bygget rundt intervallet som stykket åpner med. “ULTIMO” er skrevet som et konsertverk som passer både som åpnings- eller avslutningsnummer ved konsert eller konkurranse.

ULTIMO was commissioned by the Wardle Academy Youth Band for their participation in the European Brass Band Championships in 2026 (Linz, Austria). The piece is based on a melody built around the interval which the piece opens with. “ULTIMO” is written as a concert piece that is suitable both as an opening or finale at a concert or competition.
