Into the Fjords ble skrevet til festkonserten under European Brass Band Championships 2025, som ble arrangert i Stavanger i 2025. Stykket ble fremført av Stavanger Brass Band og European Youth Brass Band, og stod som konsertens andre nummer – etter tubasoloen Echoes of the Fjords.
Verket er skrevet i en rytmisk og energisk stil, med tydelig driv og et moderne uttrykk. I midtpartiet åpnes det for en mer filmatisk og stemningsskapende sekvens, før energien igjen bygges opp mot en kraftfull avslutning.
Into the Fjords was written for the gala concert at the European Brass Band Championships 2025, held in Stavanger in 2025. The piece was performed by Stavanger Brass Band and European Youth Brass Band, and was featured as the second item on the programme, following the tuba solo Echoes of the Fjords.
The work is written in a rhythmic and energetic style, with a strong sense of drive and a contemporary expression. In the middle section, the music opens into a more cinematic and atmospheric passage before building once again toward a powerful conclusion.
